While East Greenwich scores relatively well within the state of Rhode Island, it is closer to average on the national scale. As a committee member, I would work to raise the standards of achievement and to establish East Greenwich as a school system of national excellence.

Between the $150m school bond and the $42m annual budget, the residents of East Greenwich have demonstrated their willingness to invest in the schools. As a committee member, I would leverage my experience as a senior executive within the Financial Services industry to ensure that every dollar is spent with purpose and accountability.

Though East Greenwich is a safe school district, safety cannot be taken for granted. As a committee member, I would benchmark our safety policies, procedures, and practices with those of the other leading schools, ensuring we have the appropriate measures in place to safeguard our children.
